SYAHRIL OTHMAN is a teacher of the Bahasa Melayu subject. He hails from Batu Pahat, Johor and is qualified in the field of Malay Language and Linguistics from Universiti Malaya in 1998. He has had 25 years’ experience in teaching the Bahasa Melayu subject (2023). He has taught for 10 years in national secondary and primary schools. Subsequently, he taught for 15 years in international schools.

SYAHRIL OTHMAN has left his position as a Bahasa Melayu teacher to be involved in the writing of Bahasa Melayu academic books on a full-time basis. He has produced 133 (2025) titles of Bahasa Melayu exercise books. He then founded his own publication company in March 2021 called SYAHRIL EDUCATION ENTERPRISE. His publication company is headquartered in Batu Pahat and has a branch in Klang.

The Bahasa Melayu exercise books he has produced have been subscribed to by international schools nationwide. His publications and branding are actively trending on social media and are well-received among students, parents, teachers, tuition centres, international schools, and also national and vernacular schools such as the SKs, SJKCs, and SJKTs.
